Mentoring

One adult, one young person, every week

A vetted adult mentor matched with a young person for a school year: an hour a week on school, careers, confidence or settling in, and somebody in their corner.

Mentoring is the quiet program. No pitch, no classroom: one adult who turns up every week for one young person, and keeps turning up. Families tell us what they hope for — better grades, a clearer idea of what comes after school, more confidence, or help finding their feet in a new city and a new language — and we match a mentor to that. Sessions are an hour, weekly, at our building or a library near the family. Progress is checked in with the family every term. Every mentor is background-checked, trained, and never alone with a young person out of sight of others. Ask us anything about how it works before you decide.
