Cost
Does it really cost nothing?
Yes. No fees, no kit to buy, no deposit, and no "free trial" that turns into a bill. If a programme ever needed equipment a family could not provide, we would find it rather than ask them for it.
Is there a catch — do you sell our details?
No. We do not sell, share or trade anybody's details, and there is no advertising or third-party tracking on this site. See the privacy page for exactly what we hold and why.
Signing up
How do I register my child?
Fill in the registration form. It takes about ten minutes and needs a parent or guardian to sign at the end. We will email you to confirm, and again when a place is ready.
How old does my child need to be?
It depends on the programme — each one lists its own age range on the programmes page. If your child is close to the edge of a range, ask us rather than assuming; we would usually rather find a way in.
What if we do not have a computer at home?
That is a large part of why we exist. The coursework is built to run in a browser, including on a phone, and the lab is open during sessions. Tell us on the registration form and we will make sure it is not a barrier.
The online courses
How does my child get into the learning portal?
Once we have approved the registration, we email you — the parent or guardian — a one-time link. Your child chooses their own password from it. We never email a password, and nobody from ITeach will ever ask you for one.
Can I see what my child is doing?
Yes — ask us and we will tell you what they have covered and how they are getting on. Sit with them while they work if you can; the courses are written so that an adult who knows nothing about computers can still follow along.
Do you use AI in the teaching?
We teach about it — what a language model actually does, and where it is wrong — because that is a skill worth having. We do not hand a child's work to an outside AI service, and we do not let one mark them.
Safeguarding
Are the adults checked?
Anyone working with children has a background check on file, and we record when it expires so it cannot lapse quietly. If you ever have a concern, email safeguarding@iteachky.org and it will be dealt with the same day.
Who can see my child's information?
As few people as possible. Coaches see the medical and dietary notes for the sessions they run, because they need them. Contact details and addresses are not shown in the staff area at all. Everything is stored on our own server, not a third party's.
